The Polish Folk Dance Group "Polonez" was founded in 1989 in association with Polish Friendship Society "Zgoda" through the initiative of Steve and Lucy Ozdoba and choreographers Jacek and Malgorzata Niemirski. 

 

Within 25 years, the dance group has become and integral part of Vancouver's artistic and cultural picture. 

 

From October 2005 "Polonez" has become an independent non profit organization. This success of the group has been possible thanks to the strong support of Polonia and hard volnunteer work of parents involved with works of the group for many years.
