On Saturday, Nov 18th, Mr Jerzy Kopczewski received 'Gloria Artist' award from the Polish Government. The honorary medal was presented by Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Vancouver Mr. Marcin Trzcinski. 

 

The very pleasant evening was organized by  the members of Tri-City Polish Association  'Polonez'  where Jerzy Kopczewski has been a member for many years.  Friends and invited guests shared memories of working with the artist during his career in British Columbia.  Over 50 years of acting career is very impressive, especially that Jerzy Kopczewski continued to work on many productions as an actor and director after he left Poland, and during his life in USA and Canada. Mr. Kopczewski was also a founder  of the first Polish Theatre in British Columbia.
