Poland's National Independence 98th Anniversary

Traditionally Canadian Polish Congress BC organized Polish National Independence Day. This year the event took place on Sunday Nov 13, started with the mass in St. Casimir's church and followed with the reception and a celebrations in the Polish Combatants Hall. 

 

Thanks to all volunteers who helped with decoration and setting up for the reception, as well as everyone who helped during the event. We are very grateful to SPK for the location, to ladies from Polish Women federation for their support and help, to the Consulate General of Poland for their sponsorship of the reception.

I would like thank from the bottom of my heart  all artists and children participating in the artistic program,  because you made a day even more special, and we could not be more proud to see you performing on the stage, and to our MCs of the event Elizabeth Kozlowski and Allan Rudzki for your excellent work and very warm atmosphere durig the event. 

 

This is because of your help, and all guests as well as representatives of Polonia Organizations who came to honour such an important national Polish day - the event was so memorable. 

 

President of the Canadian Polish Congress BC, Mrs. Iwona Swiatczak had a pleasure to present Polish Friendship 'Zgoda' with the plaque to honour their 90th anniversary of the service to the Polish Canadian Community in Vancovuer area. 

During the event Mr. Andrew Dobrowolski presented Millenium Fund scholarships to  3 students : Kalina Blonska, Allan Rudzki and Emma Wilkinson. 

 

Congratulations to all receipients and we wish you best of luck in the future. We are also hoping that you will find the time to participate in many Polonia events in the future, and maybe take on the leadership role in our Polish-Canadian community in Greater Vancouver.
