May  Celebrations : 

May 3rd Polish Constitution Anniversary,

Polish Flag Day,

International Polonia Day.

Together with official guests and members of the Polish-Canadian community, the Canadian Polish Congress BC marked those important occasions. The Mass took place at St Casimir’s Church in Vancouver, and was followed by an event at the Polish Veterans Association in BC.

 

Those in attendance were Vice Consul RP Katarzyna Kasperkiewicz , Vice President of Belweder North Shore Association Izabela Sobieska, Prezes of Polish Women Federation Janina Freyman , members of Polonia organizations.  A major thank you to the Choir Barka ,Gabrysia, Nelly and Hania for very patriotic poems and to Berenika for her piano recital on the 156 year old, antique piano. President of Canadian Polish Congress BC , Michael Dembek, presented the City of Vancouver Proclamation of Polonia Day to The President of PVA in BC.

 

In addition, the Vice-President of Belweder North Shore Association, Mrs. Izabela Sobieska, accepted the CPC BC 20th Anniversary plaque in recognition of the Belweder contributions to our Polish Canadian Community in BC.
