Many dedicated people are behind the successes and heritage of Polish Community in BC and Canada and one of the most vital part with over the half century history is Polish Canadian Women Federation in Vancouver. Here is their story.

Year after year the contribution of Polish Canadian Women's Federation is just enormous. They take part in many community events, some of those activities are : Traditional Christmas Meal - Oplatek, Polish Table of Culture, art and food at the 100th Anniversary of Migrants and Refugee Day at the Holy Rosary Cathedral, Bake Sales on Easter and Luncheon to raise funds for a wide variety of charitable activities. Amongst those are Polish School, Kopernik Nursing Home, St. Casimir's Parish, Salt and Light Television, Funding a promissing blind pianist in Poland, the John Paul II Project, and most of all helping those members of our community in their times of great need.
Polish Canadian Women's Federation is also helping in June Parish Days, Nov 11 Ceremonies to remember many of those who sacrified their lives to protect freedom to live as a nation and in peace.
Throughout the year Ladies volunteer weekly at the Kopernik Lodge, an 88 bed senior's facility for our older members.
This year Polish Canadian Woimen's Federation was celebrating 55 Anniversary of BC Branch, with picnic with songs, stories, jokes and reminiscences. With this occasion also organization nominated three of the very long time members to receive National Recognition Awards. Thank you for all tireless work.

Friends and members of Polish Women Federation #4 are having the annual Christmas-New Year Event called 'Oplatek'. Remembering achievements of the past year and looking forward to the New 2014 fun filled event ended with signing carols and enjoying the piano concert by amaizing Polish - Canadian composer Ryszard Wrzaskala. Among invited guests were representatives of Canadian Polish Congress, Kopernik Lodge, Gazeta Informacyjna.

Recognition to long time members of Polish Canadian Women Federation No 4. This year they have been awarded the service medals for their outstanding and long contribution to this organization and Polonia in British Columbia. Decoration took place on Nov 11, 2013 during the Indepencence Day Celebrations.
